What year did you start CrossFitting?

2011

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I found CrossFit after starting a nutrition journey that led me (via Robb Wolf) to the Paleo diet. I was deadlifting in a 24-hour globo gym and realized how bad my form was so I decided some coaching was in order. I ended up signing up for CrossFit and never looked back.

Why did you become a trainer?

I am really a geek about the science-y side of CrossFit and I enjoy helping people, so it was a natural fit.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Box Jumps

What is your favorite cheat food?

Pizza

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Batman.

What year did you start CrossFitting?

2010

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

Five years ago I knew I needed to change what I was eating and what I was doing with my health for myself and my son. I got into CrossFit because of Dominic, truthfully. After doing Zumba for years and working with very light weights I just wasn’t getting the kick-arse workout I wanted. So I gave in and picked up a barbell…and that was it.

Why did you become a trainer?

I want to help encourage people to be more fit, and make a change for their health like I did because you will never regret it. I also love pushing people to do things they didn’t think they could do and seeing their face as they rock it!

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

A triplet with wall ball shots, box jumps, and kettle bell swings… swoon. Please no running!

What is your favorite cheat food?

Chocolate (is it a cheat food if you have it every day anyways?) …and cheesecake. Oh also peanut butter…Bareburger onion rings!

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Batgirl

What year did you start CrossFitting?

2012

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I was overweight and out of shape for most of my life. After I lost 85lbs I got into fitness to get in “better shape”. Along the way I fell in love with it; the struggle, the constant improvement in one area or another; the adrenaline, and of course the people.

Why did you become a trainer?

When I first started working out I didn’t have someone to guide me on what exercises to do, how to do them, etc. I became a trainer to help people who may be a little intimidated at the prospect of starting to work out, or “train”. And to help people who want to step outside of their comfort zone. Challenge themselves to go the extra step in improving themselves. It’s exciting when I teach someone something new, or help them improve in some area they had been struggling with, or even just seeing them get as excited as I do about something so simple like a deadlift.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Well, I’m not a Crossfitter, I’m an Olympic Lifter so, I’d have to say the Oly Lifts. haha
